For project 1, Coco and I decide to make a Dancing Drum. Our basic principle for the project is to help people relax and having fun with the machine we create. After discussion, we both decide to make an interesting and interactive musical instrument .We've drew out many ideas like forest music box, midi keyboard, and treasure box. We also found lots of interesting ideas as inspirations. Then, we found this really cute coke drum set and drum slipper that inspires our enthusiasm to make a funny drum set. We are excited to make the drum set because we are all interested in the drum. I hope to learn drum for a long time and Coco knows how to play the drum well. Therefore, we tried to use this collaboration as a good chance for us to have fun with drum.
The next question we are thinking about is how to make people play the drum in a different and funny way. Based on the inspirations we saw, we finally decided to make a Dancing Drum. We use hands and feet as switches and the sound of different parts of the drum will ring when you clap your hands, clap your partner's hands or step your feet dow.
