My inspiration for the Gummy Man comes from the blown bubble gum. The Gummy Man's face is covered with the bubble gum and the body of it look like melting bubble gum. Another reason for designing the model of Gummy Man is standing for the phenomena of social phobia. In many situation, we hope to hide ourselves and Gummy Man is the person who could always hiding itself under the mask.

NOMAD Sculpting

To build the Gummy Man, I use the NOMAD which is a 3d sculpting app in IPAD. This is my first time using the app and by using it, I hope more senses about how to design a character in a 3d environment and think more about different parts of it rather than just thinking about the front of the character. Also, by using NOMAD, I can have more understandings about the color and material I want and how Gummy Man could developed into a more completed series.

3D Printing

Then, I tried to export the NOMAD model into 3d printer because I haven't done any 3d printing before and I think it would be a good practice when I put gummy man into the 3d printer. The first version of it doesn't come out perfectly because I didn't think about the support when printing, and the printer only prints the bottom.

Then, I added more support in the setting and get my first printed gummy man!
