My idea of this toy series starts from Star Doll. The starting point of the design to give people warmth and hope. Star symbolizes hope and guidance and also stands for my childhood memory watching stars with my mom. However, we can seldom see stars in the city sky at night. Therefore, I made the star angle to tell people there are always star and hope around you.
After having the Star Doll, I tried to find other symbols that could give people hope and make people feel warming. Based on this point, I designed the Heart Doll which has the same wings as Star Doll but the slight difference is the wings of the Heart Doll is smaller because I want it not only look like wings but also look like a hug. The reason I made the change is also based on the difference in shape between the Star Doll and the Heart Doll.
